THROWBACK! Karan Johar Recalls His Traumatic Childhood Incident With Abhishek Bachchan And Shweta Bachchan-READ BELOW
Karan Johar needs no introduction! The filmmaker is often trolled for promoting nepotism in Bollywood. Karan is the son of popular film producer Yash Johar. Naturally, KJo has acquaintances across Bollywood and he is known to be friends with some of the most popular star kids and influential figures.

Interestingly, these established personalities include Kajol, Abhishek Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, and Aditya Chopra among others.

However, all his interactions with now best buddies weren’t exactly smooth and one such incident even left him ‘traumatised'. In 2018, Karan was hosting a radio show during which he revealed that Abhishek Bachchan once tied him to a tree and abandoned him when they were kids.

The show featured Abhishek on a call with KJo and asked him, ‘how it feels like to be a powerful industry figure now, but knowing that he was once tied to a tree by him.’ Reacting to the question, the head honcho of Dharma Productions recalled the incident and stated that it happened during a game with Farhan Akhtar, Aditya Chopra and Uday Chopra.

He said, "Oh god! That was the funniest. Firstly, you tied me with your sister and the only good thing to have come out of that is that I got to know her really well and she happens to be one of my closest and dearest friends. But we got tied up to that tree at your house in Marve and that is one of my childhood traumatic stories."

Furthermore, Karan Johar added, "It was a Red Indian party or a game, I don’t know what it was but I remember being tied to that tree as part of that game. And, you all left us. You and Farhan (Akhtar) and I think Adi (Aditya Chopra) and Uday (Chopra) and I am not sure who else you all tied us to that tree and left us there."

Following the revelation, Karan also acknowledged that both Abhishek and Shweta Bachchan are still his close friends.

On the professional front, Karan Johar made his entry into Bollywood as a director in 1998 hit Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and he is counted as one of the most influential personalities in the Hindi film industry.

Next, he will be directing Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, the much-awaited film is slated to hit the theatres in 2023.
